WELCOME MESSAGE

The Nottinghamshire Schools Golf Association organises competitive golf between students of affiliated schools and colleges within Nottinghamshire and the City of Nottingham. It is a member of the English Schools Golf Association.

The association also annually selects and sends a team of boys and girls to represent Nottinghamshire Schools in the Midland Schools Golf Championships.

Nottinghamshire Schools Champions at Bullwell Forest 2006

The association is organised by a voluntary group made up of parents, teachers and experienced golfers. All help is more than welcome, especially before and on the day of the school championships. If you would like to become involved in any way, please feel free to contact us. Contact details can be obtained from this site.

The 21st Nottinghamshire Schools Championships took place last year on Thursday 13th April 2006. The 64 competitors teed off in pleasant golfing conditions to complete 18 holes of windy and testing golf at Bullwell Forest to find Nottinghamshire School's team and strokeplay champions for that year.

Can You Help Us?

We have a constant need for people to help out in the organisation and running of the association and its events. It does take a considerable amount of time and effort. If you feel you are able to help out in any way please do get in touch through this web site. As most of us are still moderately active golfers we do on the odd occasion go out and play golf together after meeting.
